Kara Buell, MSN, RN

Senior Course Instructor

Kara Buell, MSN, RN, received a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a Nursing Education concentration from Benedictine University. She has worked in various healthcare environments, including the hospital, hospice, home-care, long-term care, and managed care settings. After obtaining her MSN, she has handled complex roles focused on patient education, staff development, and program implementations that have been utilized within the healthcare environment, community-based organizations, and academic settings. Kara is passionate about supporting the development, engagement, and leadership of those entering and currently working in the healthcare environment. She is committed to helping pre-health students reach their full potential and positively influence a diverse array of patients and healthcare environments.

CPCT National Certification Exam

Upon completing all course modules, students will sit for the nationally NCCA-accredited certification exam at a PSI testing center or proctored online.

  • The test is comprised of 144 questions with allotted time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.

  • Exam covers concepts in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical law and ethics, safety/infection control, and patient/wound care skills.

  • ACT covers the cost of the CPCT certification exam (first attempt).
